Off-Site Committee Finding

The Committee's review of discipline course hours taught by faculty members holding a terminal degree found one program (BS, Nursing) to have less than the required 25% of hours. Only 14% of the credit hours in the baccalaureate degree program in nursing are taught by nurses holding a terminal degree.

Albany State University's Response

The attached table for discipline course hours taught by faculty members holding a terminal degree shows Albany State University is in partial compliance. Significantly, the BS degree program in nursing has gone from a non-compliance of 14% to 26.98%. However, the BA in Music is non-compliant at 24.73 % [1].
